Oh Harry...

At work yesterday, a co-worker had on a shirt that said "I cried when Dobby died," and when I realized what it said, I blurted out "I did too!" without even realizing it. Then today, I stumbled upon this BYU parody. What will we do without Harry? I feel like it's the end of an era...and I wonder if there will be another series that has me waiting in lines at midnight just to pick up the next book.

I saw the final movie Friday night and I was SO SAD when the credits rolled! I just can't believe it's over. Already I'm having withdrawals.

I left the theatre, admittedly, a little depressed. We didn't latch onto the series until last summer so the Deathly Hallows was the only movie we saw in the theatre and we never waited on any of the books. Quite honestly, I don't think I could have! It was amazingly written and we have loved sharing it with our oldest. Thankfully, we get to do it four more times!! The scene between Snape and Harry gets me everytime. Hollywood at least got that one right.

Remember where you were when you got the last HP book??? That was a fun-filled weekend wasn't it?! And that was the only time I stayed up to midnight to get a book (any book, not just Harry Potter). Tory and I have a date next Saturday to go see the movie, I'm excited!

The end of an era--but I think Harry Potter will continue to live with us--Muggles and such words have entered our language and there's some Potterisms in all the talk about the national deficit!
